Education And Training

Misc Pro primarily provides training in making and using bespoke film equipment, however we also provide our range of film equipment assembled so that they can be used to facilitate existing curriculum projects and independent productions.

Misc Pro can therefore facilitate varied group sized workshops for students’ aged 14+ and individual lessons for adults.

Workshops include:

Building Film Equipment

The film equipment that Misc Pro has completed designs for are as followed:

• Camera sling and Harness
• Rostrum
• Dolly and Track
• Crane
• Movie tube
• Car headrest mount
• Underwater housing

We can within this workshop facilitate in the creation of these items and allow the free educational use of them within the institution once we have left.

Important note:  Tools and workspace are a mandatory requirement, to be found on site, e.g. Design technology rooms and workshops. However Misc Pro can provide a limited portable workshop, in one to one lessons.

Using Film Equipment

Misc Pro can provide tutorials in how to effectively use film equipment e.g. any item such as:

• Camera sling and Harness
• Rostrum
• Dolly and Track
• Crane
• Movie tube
• Car headrest mount
• Underwater housing

Ideally this workshop should be considered after the successful completion of the Building Film Equipment workshop. 

However if existing film equipment is already present at an institution, Misc Pro can provide a level of training that will leave the student confident and competent in the use of that equipment.

Narrative Development

Once you have your film equipment and your team knows how to use them, you are now ready to develop narratives to film. Misc Pro can help in several different ways, which include:

• Fable and storytelling
• Brainstorming ideas
• Narrative flow chart
• Drawings and cardboard sculptures
• Mixed curriculum activites, with music, art and science

Post Production (Editing)

Misc Pro can provide real time training for the following softwares:

• Adobe Premier Pro
• Final Cut
• Avid
• Windows Movie Maker
• Imovie

Animation/Stop motion

• Rostrums

This workshop makes use of Misc Pros rostrum animation tables.  By providing a constant environment in the making of silhouette and collage animation video’s, the quality of students videos can increase and the effectiveness of animation as a learning tool increase. 

All equipment can be either commissioned or hired from Misc Pro, or alternatively created by the students themselves in the building film equipment workshop.
